Addressing multiple dmx channels at once

Post by 710bc »

I just programmed my new chauvet colorband pix in 36 channel mode (each of the 12 leds now has RGB control). Is it possible to control lets say all my reds at once (i.e channels 1,4,7 etc) or do I have to do this individually....

It all depends on what you are trying to achieve, but you could control them all together or individually.

i essentially want to keep it in 36 channel mode, and be able to use a color wheel per each individual LED to make creating chase scenes easier than going channel by channel, blending until i find the right color - at the same time it would be nice to select all the LED's and create quick washes... should I have set that up in fixture creator? or do i need to make 12 3 channel versions of this light...

Did you create the fixture with RGB segments? thus you select which sections you wanna control?
