Getting Started - Simple Requirements

Hi, I'm new the Freestyle/DMX world, but my requirements are really simple, so excuse my ignorance in advance, it's a learning curve.

All I want to do is control my 5 fixtures and basically turn them on and off, don't really care about creating fancy patterns to colour schemes or anything like that at this stage.

I have a 1x 8 LED RGB Chaser, 1x Beamz Showbar, 1 x RGB Laser, and a couple of Spider Moving Heads.

I'm not sure if I'm approaching this correctly, but if I can get one fixture setup, then I do the same with the rest.

I've created a custom fixture for the chaser, it has 5 channels. Slider 1 assigns different patterns such as chase, pulse etc. Slider 2 is a master dimmer/brightness, & sliders 3-5 are individual RGB brightness. I can add additional channels up to 13 it seems, but all they do is control individual LED banks which I'm not interested in, so 5 channels is plenty so that I can do an automatic pattern or a static colour across the fixture.

On the main page in Freestyler, I've added the fixture and the slider control appears on the right. Rather than sliding 1 from left to right for zero to blank it or slide it to 154 for the pulse effect, is there are simple way of creating buttons next to it to say set it to 0 for off, 154 for my chosen effect, etc and have the buttons next to the slider for convenience?

I'm using a Microsoft Surface with touchscreen, and a uDMX controller.

Thanks in advance.

The Standard way to do this is to make a sequence for each effect you want (open sequence creator, adjust your sliders to what you want) then save the sequence. then add that sequence to a cue list, and then change each effect by selecting the sequence you want. Of course there are so many ways to do the same thing. that is just the simple Straightforward way to change your lights. but lots of other options if you get more involved.
