Is there any live tech support? I have had the good fortune to work with some of the best equipment on the market for the past 40 years, Now I'm retired and have teamu lights and a windows dm controller on a crappy laptop. Im used to typing 1+1 and getting 2. I type in 1+1 in F and get Orange Kumquat. It's not that the software is bad it is just 180 degrees different from what I know and I'm having a hard time finding how and what I need to do!

I can start with some questions. I have 8 lights dragged on to the screen and I can control them one light at a time with the little fader on the right side of the screen. How do I select multiple units? What it the screen where these units are visible called? Is there a better way to control the units? that little fader thing is not it.
My challenge is I don't know what to call the things in FS so I can search correctly

I think your biggest challenge right now is not the software itself, but learning the terminology that FreeStyler uses. Many people coming from professional lighting consoles run into exactly the same issue.
The area where your fixtures are displayed is generally referred to as the Fixture Window / Fixture Layout. The small slider on the right side is mainly intended for direct control of a single fixture channel and is not how most users run a show.
To select multiple fixtures, try using Ctrl+Click to add fixtures to the selection, or drag a selection box around multiple fixtures if your layout allows it. Once several fixtures are selected, many controls in FreeStyler will apply to the entire group rather than a single fixture.
