Wired connection wirelessly
I have Freestyler installed on a laptop at the back of the stage, and a 3 pedal generic foot pedal at front of stage, where I play. The 2 are connected via a 25’ usb cable. Everything works with Freestyler for scene changes just as it should. But, I’d like to have the connection of the (front of stage) pedal to the (back of stage) laptop done wirelessly. Is that possible? Via either a wireless usb connection, or done by Bluetooth, or would I need a different foot-switch to start with? Any ideas would be so appreciated.

bhphotovideo.com has a few wireless USB extenders that might meet your need. Not cheap though. On their site use search term wireless USB extender.

Re: Wired connection wirelessly
I didn’t see anything on that website that would wirelessly connect a foot-switch to the laptop with the lighting software on it. A 25’ distance connection done via usb, done wirelessly.
I was thinking possibly something like the Airturn Quad 500, with a Bluetooth connection. Any thoughts on that?
Days has the ability to map the foot switches to keyboard characters. That’s what I’m using now with the generic wired keyboard, with the usb cable. Does the Airturn via Bluetooth give the wireless version of what’s being looked for?

Re: Wired connection wirelessly
Based on my understanding of the information from the link you provided it does look like this might work. It would probably use the MIDI interface. The video suggested giving the company a call - that should be a good first step.
Also, this might be of some help.
