Hi all, I am trying to make a hardstyle light show but I ran into a problem. I would really appreciate your answer!

My setup is:
BeamZ LCB144 Led bar in 24ch mode (8 sections)
Lixada (aliexpress) USB DMX Interface

I already made a fixture for my led bar.

I am trying to make my led bar strobe for the buildup, but can't find how to do this.
I tried using LoopMIDI and FL Studio MIDI out to switch between master intensity 0 to 100 at double the tempo, but nothing happens on Freestyler. The LoopMIDI does say data is going through it, but my LED bar doesn't do anything. Do I need to press a button on the software to make the midi input do anything?

Based on the description of your device I assume in 24 channel mode the fixture does not provide a STROBE function.

See if you can program a SEQUENCE to create the strobe effect. You would use SNAP on the channels. At least for the test a 2 step sequence should be sufficient. 1 step sets the LEDs to full and the other step sets the LEDs to off. Set the times to 1 or 2 seconds and loop the sequence. Run the sequence from the Sequence Editor.

If this works then you need to edit the sequence to whatever color mix and speed you want. Then you must train Freestyler to run the sequence based on a MIDI note (and also stop it).

If you can time the sequence then you would not need the second MIDI note to stop the sequence.

It has been 2 years since I've worked with MIDI so I might have forgotten something.

Also, if I recall correctly MIDI sends a value denoting the force of a key depress. Freestyler only responds if the value is high enough - which I think you can specify.
