change universe can you use sequence made in another

Hello, quick question, I have sequences for a fixture a made for universe 2, I would now like to use them in universe 1. I know with the new version (4.6.1) you are supposed to be able to change a fixture address and the sequence still works, I have never tried that yet. I did try to use my second universe sequences in universe 1, I was able to keep the address of the fixture the same. It does not seem to work. do you know if I am missing something or it is just not possible.
