Hi,
I'm new to Freestyler and just got an Enttec DMX Pro. I have a couple of fixtures that I used to run via a board. When I received the Enttec today I was quickly able to run a Chauvet Colorsplash 200B with Freestyler, but I just can't get my Colorsplash Jr's to work with the software. I looked at the patch file and it seems to have the correct assignments. I also downloaded a user file from the forum, just in case something was different. I eliminated any potential cable issues by taking the 200B out of the chain, so it's just Enttec>Colorsplash Jr now. I created a completely new Location in Freestyler and set the Colorsplash Jr to DMX channel 1 in both the software and on the fixture. But I just can't get it to work!
Just a note: The Colorsplash Jr requires pin 10 to be in the ON position for the fixture to accept DMX and not be in auto pilot. Just to make sure, I did try the fixture with pin 10 in ON, as well as OFF positions with Freestyler, but of course the OFF position doesn't do no good.
I would appreciate any help with getting this fixture to work with Freestyler! It seems others have gotten the Colorsplash Jr to work, so I must be doing something wrong, probably a newbie thing.
Thanks for any help!
Philip

Re: PLEASE HELP: Colorsplash Jr problem!
I had forgotten that the Colorsplash Jr requires the second DMX channel to be up for the color mixing channels to work. Got it working with Freestyler now!
Thanks,
Philip

Re: PLEASE HELP: Colorsplash Jr problem!
thanks for the info. So is it safe to asume that freestyler should work on my actual lights correctly and that the programming in the vizualizer is not right? In other words whatever the vizualizer shows is not necassarily what i am going to get out of the actual lights? I just would hate to get the dongle and then it not work properly.can i reprogram the fixture creator program to the correct settings? Sorry, I am not going to hold you to this i just want a little reassurance from someone. Sorry for all the questions but im a newb when it comes to this.

Re: PLEASE HELP: Colorsplash Jr problem!
If you get the manual of your lights, you can check that the fixture in freestyler is correct. If not you can change it by the FixtureCreator. So yes, Freestyler will work great if you get a compatible interface (and modify the fixture if necessary). by the way you can get the visualizer to show the correct colors by changing the fixture the same way by the ScanLibrary Editor. I have done both thing a couple of times to get the desired colors at the correct dmx value.fcprod1 wrote: So is it safe to asume that freestyler should work on my actual lights correctly and that the programming in the vizualizer is not right?"
