How to create fxt/pff files?

Sorry if this is the wrong area.
I have created 8 channel files but I need some help on a 32 channel. I have an OPPSK Wall Washer light bar. Its got 32 channels. Is there a wiki or something that explains how to create a ftx for that many channels? Can I do it in Notepad? Is that easier?
I have an American DJ Jellyfish I tried to dissect (I think its got about 15 channels) but I dont understand how freestyler knows what goes where.
Can anyone point me in the right direction?
