Hi all.
I have a problem running freestyler.
It just doesn't seem to be controlling anything.
I have a Datamoon and a Revo 3 installed as fixtures, I have tried them both independently set at address 1.
I am using FS ver 2.96j, the interface is an Enttec Open DMX, the driver I have installed is FTDI version 2.4.6.0 with the date 13/03/2008.
"Universal Serial Converter" Port_#0001.Hub_#0004 . It also shows up as Comm 5.
I am running Vista Home Premium.

Any help or suggestions really appreciated.

No, its still not working.
I've downloaded the setup file from the Enttec site (CDM2.02.04.exe), it has now changed the driver details in windows device manager to version 2.2.4.0 with a date 27/06/2007.
There must be some communication with the Open DMX though as the Revo blanks when FS is running then once exited the Revo runs in it's normal stand alone mode.
Any other suggestions?
What is the driver version that you are running?

I, that version, (cmd...) didn't work, i've tried before but still with problems. you can find another version, this is the realy from enttec, you can download from http://enttec.com/?main_menu=downloads, and you see one that say D2XX driver install. Use it, i think that resolv your problm.

I've now downloaded and run that.
In device manager it now shows as FT8U2XX device, but alas still no control

Some fixtures require that dipswitch 10 be on to operate in DMX mode and alot of manuals do not explain this. Try turning dipswitch 1 and 10 on your fixture and see if that helps.

Have you tried reversing the polarity of the DMX cable?

I'd still think its a drivers thing but yes try changing the polarity....
