Hello, When I upgrade to 4.1, I have tried it on two PC's, and I load a backup file (pre 4, from 3.65) I keep getting a message fatal error during load, and freestyler just locks up and becomes unresponsive. If I click the message really quickly I can get past it and freestyler will open, but not all the time, I have read Partymans fixes, to then create a backup file in 4.1 and then load it, but that does not seem to work for me. I have so much work in the older versions, I would really like to try to make it work. does anyone have a fix for this.

You are probably best off copying the freestyler folder over to the C: drive on new pc then install 4.1.
Your backup file is probably not any good with 4.1. at this moment
You will need to open all of your scenes and resave in the new file format then put into cues and buttons.

Hey, Thanks so much for your insight! I was just going to ask (and I see you posted it) if I could just change the extension name (.chs instead of .chb). On my test pc, I just emptied the Chase and Cue folders for a test and tried to restart freestyler and still got the "fatal error during load" I really appreciate any other help, I will keep trying other things.

Hey Thanks, I appreciate your reply, I have been looking into batch changing extension names, but I am not even sure that will help, since like I said, I emptied those folders and still no go. there must be something else it does not like.

I'm experiencing this too. 4.1 isn't working well for me, and I can't find the version I had anywhere (3.6.50).

Any ideas or fixes available? I have a show this weekend I need to run from my MIDI controller while playing and singing, and really don't want lighting drama.
