Hello, I was wondering if some smart person could help me. I cant seem to find an example and this should be so easy. it is just a 3 channel fixture. channel one controls some fade in and strobe effects that I don't care about channel 2 is for warm light and channel 3 is for bright white. I just want to be able to dim it in a submaster. or at least with a master dimmer, can anyone help? Thanks so much

Dimmer in master or submaster in general only react on the channel defined in the "intensity channel" or RGB channels.
So it is a bit difficult to do this as you have two white channel to control.
Can the fixture be set to a mode with more channels?

Hey Thanks Jan, It does have a 2 channel mode with intensity as one channel and color warmth as the other, however the light is in a venue and it would be tricky to keep switching them back and forth. Can I just pretend for fixture creator that it is an RGB light and give leave channel 1 out and put channel 2 as Red and 3 as Green and then at least I can dim it with master intensity or submeter intensity ?

You are right that placing the channels on red and green should solve the problem ( need to be tested)
An alternative is to make two 3 channel fixture and then place them on the same address.
Fixture 1: Total channel 3, Strobe ch = 1, Intensity = 2. channel 3 not defined.
Fixture 2: Total channel 3, Strobe ch = 1, Intensity = 3. channel 2 not defined.
Place both fixture manually on example adr 10,
In freestyler adr 10 will be defined as a strobe channel, adr 11 as intensity and adr 12 as intensity.
Master intensity will now work on adr 11 and 12 and this will be your fixture channel 2 and 3.
Does this explanation make sense ?

Wow, thanks so much, that does make sense. That is a very creative solution for sure, I will try both of the options out as soon as I get a chance. I really appreciate your help with this!
