I'm currently trying to upgrade from H to J, however when i restore the backup it restores and then when i open freestyler i get an error saying input past end of file... and then half my fixtures disapear, just glad i installed this freestyler in a different directory.

Has anybody managed to get arround this problem without recreating everything?

Update: i just found some posts in the bug forum of this problem, just wondering if anybody did get arround this?

Backups are not compatible between the different versions.
The new update of FS will not allow you to load an older backup.

This is not a bug its just the filling system has to change to allow for the new features.

SO does that mean between each version you won't be able to restore it from the version previous?

Would be better if part of the install it could upgrade the required parts and not need to restore it.

Thats just the way BETA's go...

true... discovered it was one of my fixtures causing a problem in the newer beta...., all sorted now
