Fixture / gobo / colors / file image locations

In the Fixture Creator wiki, it states:
  • Fixture images are to be in size 60 x 60 and are located in “c:\FreeStyler\Fixtures\
  • Color icons are to be in format 30 x 30 and are located in “c:\FreeStyler\Colors\”
  • Gobo icons are to be in format 30 x 30 and are located in “c:\FreeStyler\Gobos\”
OK, so that's where there are files of images - but if I add my original images to *those* folders they do not show up in the lists of images / colours / gobos to use.

If you add them while Freestyler is running you must refresh the image list.

thanks Rod, but that isn't the answer - I deliberately named my personal files so I would easily find and recognise then - none of them display in the fixture editor or in Freestyler when editing on the live system

Please upload one of each. I would like to see if I have the same problem. I have done exactly what you are trying to do and have not had any problems (as long as I remember to refresh the image list which I seem prone to forget)

After thought - what format are you using? I am not sure if Freestyler supports all of the different image formats.

just noticed the Wiki does say "BMP or GIF" - frustrating - GIF images reproduce so badly on my image edit software … seriously not even JPG? :-|

I usually use BMP - GIFs do not do well for me either
