Grouping Overide buttons

How do you group the overide buttons?
I made a few Pan/Tilt overides and a few color overides. I did not set them to flash. Somehow the Pan/Tilt overides were grouped. Meaning when I selected another Pan/Tilt overide, the previous Pan/Tilt selection was turned off (no matter what selection I made). That was ok, because that's what I wanted (or expected). When using the color overide buttons, the previous color was not turned off. Leaving some mixed colors or not changing at all until another color was turned off. What am I missing here
I tried clearing all the overides and just playing around with colors. I saved all the colors starting with the same lettering (AllBlue, AllRed, Allorange, Allyellow, etc.) thinking that is how it grouped them, but nope. That didn't work. Some overides turned off when another color was selected and some stayed 'locked"??
I have searched all the other threads, but no luck finding much detail about how the overide buttons can be or are grouped.
