I was looking around on freestyler and saw that there was no form of an effects generator. I thought it would be cool to have because im trying to acheive a random flicker effect for these old lanterns i have. Does any one know if this exists? Would be kinda cool to have. Also, how about more cues and unlimited steps?

cues are potentually unlimited and would u fill an infinate amount of steps...?

Maybe some kind of random-flash generator for fixtures that don't have a strobe function, but do have a lamp on/off possibility.

The pulsar masterpiece 108/216 have chase generator built in. You can make a chase of just one scene and a blank then apply one of ten chase generator patters to it to create complex things that would take hours to program manually and also many scenes. Some how it knows how to manipulate on the active channels of that chase. As an example, you can make a scene of just the shutters open, then apply the 1 on pattern. when the chase is active the shutters will basically chase each other one by one. Another pattern will let you do random values. So you make two scenes of pan limits then you have random position all made possible with a chase of two scenes.
