can't release overrides!

So when I use my override buttons, everything works fine. But when I click on the button again to stop them, and stop all submasters and cues, none of my lights work. I try programming a sequence and I can make the lights move and do things, but all of the lamps are off, and I cannot turn them on. It says an override is in use, but I can't figure out how to stop it. I clicked disable all buttons, release all buttons, and everything else that I know how to do, but nothing works until I restart the program. I'm using .38 not .40 yet.
