Nothing but figure eights.....

I have a new pair of Chauvet MiN Spots. It appears that when I select any shape, and click the "OFF" button, the fixture does nothing but figure eights on the ceiling. The correct shape however, appears to be cycling on the display. Manual movement of the "blue dot" appears to function normally, and when I click the center button, the fixture's beam returns to a straight upright position. I am new to Freestyler (lighting in general), so this may be a simple answer that I have not thought of. Thanks in advance.....

I Belive setting the off button shouldnt turn your light off its just telling it when programmed do NOT do that but while programming you will probably see a figure of eight as that is the last thing you told your lights to do!

Let me rephrase this.....I have a new pair of Chauvet MiN Spots. I select either one or both of the fixtures, select "Show All Panels", pick a color from color, turn the lamp on, and then go to the "Pan/Tilt" (Shape Generator) window. I click the "Center" button, and the fixture travels to the vertical (home) position. I select "eight" (figure eight) in the drop down menu, and press the button to activate the shape pattern. OK, my MiN Spots do a figure eight. Next, I stop the shape generator (the light's movement stops), select a rectangle from the drop down menu and press the button to activate the shape pattern once again. The shape generator displays a rectangle pattern being generated, but the lights movement is still in a figure eight pattern. What am I missing here?.....

I can confirm this is happening in 2.97c as well.

This is very normal.
The only thing you have to do is change the size off your shape.
Because a moving head has the value off 128 on its center point, when you have a shape the value goes from 0 to 255.
Now the MH has got a degree angle off ..., because it can't turn completely it will go over value 128 to go to the other side.
When this happens it will create a figure 8.
The only solution is change the size above the 128 point.
