Hi guys! Newbie to this DMX thing but picking up on it ok. I have a couple of cheap Chinese led pars and trying to find fixture files for them. Here is the amazon listing for them:

Unfortunately that did not work. I have a feeling that these cheap chinese pars manual is wrong. I have been fooling around with them and it seems to me that CH1 is the Master Dimmer but everything else is wrong. I believe CH2 is Red, CH3 is green, CH4 is Blue and that is about all I can figure out. I cannot seem to get the other function like mode or strobe to work. The light does all those things when it is in auto or sound active mode on its own but I cannot figure out the DMX way to get that to work.

OK. Attached is an updated fixture file. Play with it and maybe you can figure out which channel does what. I did a Google search and saw a couple of other people with the same issue but they had not posted any updated information.

I guessed that the amber channel would be immediately after the RGB channels but that could be wrong.

Let me know.

If nothing works, try reverse engineering the DMX chart: try each fader separately and see what happens. This way I once found out the 6ch LED fixture appeared to be a 7ch, wrong chart added in China...

I can use the fixture with just CH1= Master Dimmer, CH2=Red, CH3=Green, CH4=Blue but that's it. I have tried all different combinations of moving all the other channels sliders around but nothing. Could it be that these are just 4 Channel when used for DMX? That would suck because in the programmed and sound active modes they do a whole lot more! Starting to get a bit frustrated. I do appreciate all the help and comments from this forum but I am not sure what else to try.

Given the incorrect info in the PDF about the channel assignments for the colors you may be correct. I guess its possible you have an early version of the fixture (having only 4 channels) and that a later version added the additional channels - though if that is the case the change in the channels for the color channels makes little sense.

I'm really out of ideas. If you happened to find out anything more please post the new info.

Can you check wether there is an option in the menu to switch between 4-ch and 7-ch mode?

According to the operating manual there is not an option to switch between 4 and 7 channel mode - many fixtures do have this option.

iamwally, I've assumed you did not see a setting in the fixture's menu that might indicate an operating mode of 4 channel instead of 7 channel.

Same here !
I can only manage channel 1 to 4.
Other channels give no reaction

Hi everybody - there are two ways to operate this rgb cans

dxxx = 4 Channel
Axxx = 7 Channel mode

[flash=]Mine only works with the D channels in 4 channel mode. I can select a Axxx but it does not react to anything I do in freestyler. Can anyone help with the 8 channel setup ?[/flash]

My fault, the uDMX driver was not working anymore. After installing a W7 32 bits machine and reinstalling the uDMX drivers I was able to manage the light with 8 channels in the Axxx configuration.

So it seems to be working now

Would one of you please send a message to Blusmart, describe the issue and see if they can/will provide any assistance? Hopefully the language barrier can be overcome.

Testing the channels gave me following:

Set device to Axxx
7 channels active:

1. Total Dimmer
2. Red
3. Green
4. Blue
5. Auto changing colors that are active in channels 1 to 3 - speed off change
6 Stroboscoop
7. Sound Activation

If the manual was correct there should be a channel 8 fot white but that is not the case with my device.
