Missing windows!

Yes, stupid I know, but I have lost the 'Bulb / Light' window, and even the gobo window. Movement and colour windows are still on the screen.

When I reset freestyler, add a random fixture and click show all, they all show up. But as soon as I restore my lighting setup into freestyler, they dissapear. I have even tried pressing the lock button on the windows before I restore to see if they stay in the same location.

I am using Vista, and I've tried expanding the main freestyler window, but it wont expand, or show any signs of the lamp and gobo window.

Regards
Chris

I also have this problem from time to time (see my old topic "weird problem") although it seems to be less frequent in the latest versions, but it still occurs. When it happens, just click several times on your fixtures, selecting and deselecting them, and between selections/deselections, click often on the "show all" button. Finally the light and gobos windows will show up but sometimes it needs some number of clicks :-)

Hi there,
have you changed the resolution or run dual-screen on your computer lately?
I used to have problems with this when I ran dual screen with freestyler on the second screen, when I was running single screen I couldn't get my attributes windows (or some of them) Try dual screening to see if they are there.... otherwise try maximising your resolution to see if they have been drag and dropped into oblivion...

Hope this helps

Tom

For me no dual screen on none of the 2 machines where I use FS. Still had the problem from time to time during a party saturday night when I wanted to change a few things live... no way to show the "light" window, either with the show all button or the light window button.

Have you selected the same type of fixture?
If you hve multiple fixtures selected it will only show the panels for the last selected fixture.

Yes, I select 2 scans or 2 MH of the same type when I do this generally.

I have had this problem from time to time. for me the following seems to work:

De - select all fixtures (click on the background)
Select the fixtures you want from Group (top left 3 diagonal boxes)
Select Show all Panels

I do this every time I launch FreeStyler and (so far) haven't had a problem.

Please accept my apologies if this doesn't work or is what you are doing.

Perhaps the window is out of the screen. I had this problem yesterday - and there was no chance getting it back (I think it was also a problem with the max. resolution of the screen). After hours of searching I found a way.

Manuel resetting the windows:

- close Freestyler
- goto the Fresstyler folder, search data.fsd and backup the file
- open data.fsd and search for a part, where the numbers in the lines are over 1000 (shoud be in the first third of the file, the lines before are 0 and the lines after are empty)
- write a 0 to every line with a high number
- save the file and start Freestyler again
- now every window opens in the upper-left corner of the screen

This is how I got my missing windows back.

You can do the same thing with out closing freestyler iirc, you go to setup and somewhere in there i a reset window location feature.
