Waveform editor to trigger cues

Dear freestyler users!

I am very new to the freestyler world and have spend some days to read through the forum and tons of tutorials. :fs:
I need to preprogram shows for each song that will be played. So I'd like to attach triggerpoints for cues to a soundfile that will be played. Is there such a functionality where I can set triggerpoints in a waveform editor in freestyler that I did not find or is there any possibility to add this functionality with a plugin by using e.g. Winamp or VirtualDJ? Or do i need to buy a commercial product

Thanks a lot for your help!
Chris from Switzerland

VirtualDJ has a freestyler plug in that uses the cue points in virtual to trigger lighting commands in freestyler.

Thanks for your fast reply. Does that mean that I need to use VirtualDJ if I want to set trigger points in soundfiles (in a wave editor)? Or is there a way to do this directly in freestyler as I have not worked with virtualDJ before?

And do you know if there is any way to use the regular beat of a song as trigger even if freestylers Sound2Light tools does not detect a beat for this beat? (for the songs where I have no preprogrammed show)

You will need to do all the cue points in virtualdj. Yes there is an option for virtualdj to send the beats to freestyler. If you go on the virtualdj forum, it is explained in more detail. What is you application, band, dj etc?
