Well, i copied the whole install folder from my old computer to my new. Everything works including easyview.

The problem is I can't modify anything. If i try to add or edit a cue button, freestyler crashes. If i tried to add fixtures it crashes. If i try to load a chase into the creat sequence window it crashes.

The new dual universe version would be great for large shows but right now i don't need it.

I just want things to work again.

Would it be possible to trick the x2 vesion into loading the older version of easyview that will load?
I can't ever get the latest version of easyview to load up stand alone without a directx9 error. I tried just replacing the new exe with the old but it needs something.

Please help !

Did you do a backup or just copy the folder? I have not had any problems using the backup feature to change PCs

no. I just copied the whole folder. both computers are acer netbook with windows 7. i just installed 3.5.2 and i get the same result. everything works if you just run what is there. if yu try to load anything other than a location it crashes. everything goes white. the windows box details says" regsvr32 comctl32.ocx " is crashing. It has to be something simple.

That is not the way to do it. Use the backup feature and it will create a file that will transfer everything, and install the software exactly as setup on the other machine
