Meaning of the blue cells - External controller

Hello all together,

I have searched the web for the cells with blue background color in the setup/function assignment of the external controller.

First I thought that these are the functions that I am able to set for my controller, but in another tutorial I saw that also functions with white background were set.

Can anybody tell me where these cells are for? Does it has to do with global functions?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards
Sascha

hi,
white cells are simply ON/OFF ie Buttons etc. send a note with a velocity over 127 to trigger.
blue cells accept a range of values i.e to set a fader. Send notes with with a velocity of 0 - 127 to set
