Problem setting channel values

I have a problem setting channel values with the sliders. 1/3 of the values are not accessible.
When I drag the mouse pointer over the slider it goes 0 2 3 5 6 8 9 11 12 14 15 and so on.
My laptop is running Windows 7 64bit and the screen resolution is 1366x768.
I tried connecting it to a 1920x1080 monitor but the problem remained.
I am trying to make a sequence but can only set some of the values I want.
Any suggestions on how to resolve this is appreciated.

oke strange.
but you can try a total reset.
go to the freestyler directory and open "freestyler.ini" with a notepad.
on the top you see reset=false. now change this to reset=true. save and restart FS.

I followed the instructions for total reset but the problem remains.

Maybe a daft question but are you using a cheap / freebie bundled mouse? Or trying to use the touchpad?
I recall similar issues when trying to edit artwork, and mouse would skip past individual pixels, although it might not be exactly the same thing the only solutions that worked were, (a - temporary fix) turning the mouse sensitivity right down so it takes a lot of movement to produce a small movement on screen, made easier pixel selection - but is a real PITA for general use.
Or (b - permanent fix) buy a high resolution laser mouse. There's a market flooded with good ones aimed at gamers at not too much money. I got one called a 'RAT' and the styling is very cyborg futuristic but the real world accuracy and ease of use is fantastic.
I would say though that if your considering buying a mouse that between yourself, family and friends someone must have a decent one you can try out first. Or even a small local pc shop may have some demo ones out they would be willing to let you plug into your laptop to test.

The problem is the same using the laptop touchpad and optical mouse with multiple DPI settings. Changing the sensivity of the mouse/touchpad did not matter.
