You don't need an amazing laptop to run freestyler, you would never need 1Tb for storing cues and chases, but it would concentrate less on battery life, storage, or amazing CPU (as the better hardware like enttec pro, dmxking ultra, etc deal with some of that).
Here's what I would look for if it's any help;
Larger laptop - more cooling airflow inside the better,
Backlit keyboard - for easier working in dark areas,
USB 2 slots - some older hardware can have issues with USB3 and keeps your options open for midi controllers etc.
Dedicated graphics card (as opposed to shared 'mobility' or Intel 'HDxxxx') - if you want to use extended desktop for 3d easyview visualisations etc by plugging in a second monitor.
Proven reliability record - review on tomshardware or similar, or low failure/returns rates which can usually get an idea from googling make and model.
Any windows from 7 upwards has been optimised for fast communication with midi, etc if you plan on using that for having a hardware controller, but the specs and reliability in 8.1 have so far proven to be the best yet by miles. Shame about the metro interface though :(

hi

i run freestyler on a laptop with windows8 and has a intel U4100 @ 1,3Ghz X2 inside.
with 2 gb ram and somekind of realy bed videocard, and it have touchscreen.

But it works Great!!! on it..
i use the Enttec Pro. i also recommend you buy the Enttec pro or DMX king pro. as it has a build in Proccesor so it will be easyer for the PC and it way!!! more stable as i also have the Velleman and Enttec open but those are not as good, way more unstable.
i also use the BCF2000 midi controller.

as Spud1511 says 1TB is realy allot and its a HDD and these are spinning disks.
a HDD will go Dead after a while becouse of the Muziek (bass fibration)
as i recommend to use SSD. they make you pc even faster and Never go Dead duo to outside condistions. it also uses allot less power.

but all with all its seems like a laptop that should do the job.
