Independent Moving Heads?

I am sorry if this an obvious question. I have two five channel moving head fixtures* that I created profiles for in the FixtureCreator software. The lights do exactly as programmed and I can pan, change colors/gobos, etc. Worked first time. Great piece of software. :fs:

I now want to move the heads independently. The software seems to want to move the lights in reverse synchronization. Just to make sure the addresses were not conflicting, light 1 is on channel 1-5 and light two operates on channel 16-20.

When I click on a single moving head **unit, the channel settings move in concert with each other.

Here is my question: Can I solo the moving head lights? In other words, when I click on one light, I want it to move, not the other light also.

I bet I am missing something really simple, so thanks in advance.

Do this first.

Light 1 - Ch 1
Light 2 - Ch 6
Light 3 - Ch 11
Light 4 - Ch 16 etc.

In your Freestyler add fixture list make sure that you have addressed them correctly in FS.

Eg.
Light 1 - Ch 1-5
Light 2 - Ch 6-10 Etc.

Should now work individually. :) Also check that the Invert PAN and TILT are disabled on all your lights to start with. Easiest way is to reset the fixture.

Hope that will start you off. :)

Most people with this problem do not realize that they have both lights selected. Make sure you ONLY have the light you want to control selected

Yeah, I find this an issue at times. It's hard to see when it's not very clear, because it's a blue background on the fixture for selecting them.

In that case change the color schemes in preferences.....using black for the background and ORANGE for both FIRST and SECOND light choices.....then you'll always know what is selected and what is not.
