Midi problems with the latest release?

OK...as you might recall I previously posted a tutorial on how to use a NanoKey2 midi unit to control FS:
viewtopic.php?f=6&t=5061
Now I've just tried to use it on two different Windows 8 machines and FS refuses to respond to the midi commands?
Everything appears to be working correctly, the Nano is outputting a full signal at 127 and I'm able to assign and save midi values but I just cant get FS to respond. Is anyone else having this problem?
I'll try the Nano on my XP machine with the latest FS update and see what happens.

OK...tried the Nano on my XP machine (FS 3.5.5) and no luck.
Now when I assign a Midi note to trigger an override button, FS will respond very occasionally (suggesting the Nano and Midi set up is operating as per normal). However if the override button is set up as a flash button, it wont disengage. This sounds very much like a bug that's currently listed on the bug tracker.
Before I list it as a bug (or update the existing bug) can anyone using Midi confirm this fault or otherwise?

I use these without any issues. Nano Kontrol on a Windows 7 64 bit machine. Never had any issues.
When you map out the midi commands is FS receiving the command number? At all?

Yes. Both the midi note value and 'velocity' (127) appear in the correct locations and I can even assign them to the various FS commands. But FS will only respond vary occasionally to a Midi command...and not very well.

yes your right the midi feature is realy!!! unstable..
but the devolper have sad to me he needed to rewrite the midi part and sended me a new Beta..
but i cant tell you if it will solve the issue as all my midi controllers worked perfect.
and he sended me the beta last week , but i have been to Austria to snowboard and did not test it.

That's good news...I thought I was doing something wrong. I'm happy to wait for the next release (All good things come to those who wait!)

Yes, there are MIDI problems, I've submitted some issues and it seems they are under dev to be fixed. He releases pretty quick, so hopefully your issues will be solved very soon.

Hello, sorry for my bad english ( i'm french )
I Have a problem with velocity on override Buttons ..
I try to use a Novation LaunchKey Mini, some key don't have velocity ( they work on override buttons) and the other key have velocity ( they don't work on override buttons).
In Midi Setup, i select "Note On, Note Off" I thought it would solve my problem but no ..
The capture when i push a key with velocity ( we can see "note-on" )
I don't understand ..
Ok the value is not 127 ( or 7F ) but with the "note on, note off" option, it should work, no ?
I contacted the manufacturer of my midi controler, but he told me it is impossible to remove the velocity controller and it's in the app used there must be an option for that.
If there is no software solution, I have 30 days to return my controller to Thomann, if you know a reference that works for sure with freestyler ..
Thanks
