FreeStyler Theatre is a set of 12 sliders which you can set to any dmx channel you like and control them just like real faders on a lighting desk.

Click here to get from the store!

Use the settings Charm to Connect to FS,

To set what channels each slider controls go to FreeStyler setup then select "External Control" and then "Midi Control",

Scroll down the list until you see Midi to DMX,

in the last column "Channel" replace the 0's with the DMX Channel you require for 1-12 in the app each Midi to DMX up to to twelve represents the 12 sliders.

Hit save and then go back to the app and connect if you haven't already if you have sliding up the sliders will affect the channel you previously set in FreeStyler. Ta da!

Hit zones! No you dont have to get your finger directly on the slider to raise it, any of the area shown here in yellow will affect the slider to the left, so basically you can place your fingers in the space to the right of the slider you want to manipulate and raise it that way :)

Hi djSupport,

Just wondered if you've had this operating on the same same machine that Freestyler's running on?

I've got a HP-split (laptop with detachable tablet screen) that returns the following error message:

Connection failed with error: A connection attempt failed because the connected party did not respond properly after

Any suggestions? Am I missing the bleeding obvious?

Thanks ..

John

It's a limitation of windows 8 to not allow local socket connections from within apps.

Yes unfortunately that's the case :( I can only do testing with Fs on the same pc as the app :/

Thanks for the replies guys .. :-) will continue with the touchscreen buttons etc., which is operating OK .. just liked the simplicity of a dozen assignable faders ..

cheers
