Hey,
This might sound silly and stupid but what does it mean when a piece of equipment has DMX through on it? Does it just mean that it goes straight through and doesn't operate it or what?

It still has DMX in and Out, but just wondered what DMX through is and when you would use it?

realy strange is it 5pin DMX?

but normaly dmx out is a Through as most fixtures have a Little "Y" construction inside them (yes i know a "Y" cable is wrong..... but most cheap fixture have it... even the cable inside the fixture isnt 120/110ohm. ;)

i only know a Midi thru and this will send the midi in directly to the TRHU port whithout changing the signal.

ahhh yes

Midi in , Goes to Midi through, same as normal fixtures.

the Midi output is a build-in DMX controller on the phoenix device and can be controlled from the Phoenix software..
so a DMX + ILDA all in one.

Yeah, I have 1 on a LSC DMX Splitter. I usually just use it as an extra DMX Out. :)
If I use 2 DMX splitters on the same universe then I will use the THRU to patch to the next DMX Splitter.
