ActiveX component can't create object?!

Hello,

I have installed your stable version of Freestyler, however when I launch the program the prompt says:

No interface selected. Continue in demo mode?

If I click yes, then the prompt says:

ActiveX component can't create object

If I click no, then freestyler loads. Since I am using the velleman I select that as the dongle and save it. I add some fixtures then address them in the program and with the dip switches on the fixture. Now the led pars don't respond if the shutter is open and I drag around the color? I attempt to open a cue and drag and drop into my submasters (is that what it's called?) so that I can get something out of the light and nothing happens?

If I exit the program, then Freestyler does not remember my interface. How do I fix this issue, I am in desperate need to have this running even if it is off macros very soon. To be quite honest with you, everyone on this forum is WAY ahead of the learning curve with what this program can do. It seems that those of you who post frequently and have mastered this program live on the other side of the world and I live in the states in the eastern time zone. If anyone could show me the ropes after I get this situ resolved, it would remove a majority of stress with my shows :x

Your replies are appreciated.

I just tried the run command and I get the prompt:

DllRegisterServer in threading.dll failed.
Return code was: 0x80004005

Then I clicked okay, started the FreeStyler program, and the problem still persists

the problem will persist because the dll hasn't registered.
Whats your os?
if its vista you may not have administrator rights
code 0x80004005 is an access denied and doest have the rights to register the dll file

The issue is with windows and not freestyler,
Try searching goggle for threading.dlll registering.
search your pc for threading.dll to see if the file actually exists.

Also search this forum for threading.dll and running fs from usb

I have searched the forum for threading.dll registering, and I have the only post regarding this issue. If I am wrong, please point me in the right direction with a link. I have searched the internet and am still confused how to fix this. I do have system32 > threading.dll available. I just want to be able to use freestyler, I would hate to buy a new laptop just for this reason

have you tried the new beta?
Its a shot in the dark but you never know.
I don't know if raph uses .net but you could try upgrading your .net to the current version.

also try this http://www.freestylersupport.com/fsforu ... object#p36

Thanks again for all of your help. After some serious consideration (and plenty of backing up to my external hard-drive), I decided to have my windows operating system reinstalled. After installing the most stable version of Freestyler and doing a computer restart, the program loaded normally 8-)

I think I may have been using Freestyler improperly for the past 2 years, it seriously shouldn't take me 4 hours to program a sequence that isn't flexible. Is there anyone that could give me a little bit of a run down with how to effectively program shows for my application and how to blend them together (if that makes sense). Thanks.
