Idea / suggestion needed

Hi Chaps,

Within 2 months I have to do a little light show for an event. About 1 minute i guess. Lights should be synchronized with a musical theme and goal is that it goes crescendo from a few lights to a climax.

I think I will only use about controlled 20 table lamps and 15 par36. They will probably go by pairs behind a same dmx address. Maybe I will add two moving heads.

What is important here is to have light event really synched wih music. e.g. at 5'30"" sec to have this on at 10'40'' out and another light on, and so on.

Are freestyler and go monkey suitable tools for this ?

Thx in advance

If its sync with music you may be better looking at a midi sequencing, using cuebase etc to trigger buttons overrides sequences etc via midi

Well looks very nice but is probably complicated and expensive ( as cubase is not free )

I'll try my chances with key bindings and a script sending sendkeys commands.

Thx anyway

Ho chaps,

I will test ShowControl but I think i've found an alternate open source soft : dmxcontrol. Till now it makes what I want. I think it will be more difficult with a moving head but... one step at a time.

Thx,
