Feature request...'autopilot'

So I've been using some video (Resolume) and laser (Pangolin Quick Show) software lately and both have an autopilot function whereby the projection will change after a certain period of time or after 4, 8, 16 beats etc. Pretty cool when it's just you trying to run lighting, lasers, video etc by yourself.
So I was thinking wouldn't it be great if the cue list buttons had the same sort of functionality linked to the tap sync button. You could load up a bunch of 'looks' that you like on one page of cue list buttons and then have them change every 4, 8, 16, or 32 beats.
Before I submit the feature request I'm just wanting to know what other people think (and just check if something similar already exists within Freestyler)?

I was thinking more like the autopilot function would engage a new cue list button after a certain number of beats. The autopilot would eventually cycle thru all the cue list buttons and then start from the first again. This would allow say a mobile DJ to have a continuously changing light show without having to do anything. Of course they would be able to disengage the autopilot function at any time. It would therefore be possible for each page of cue list buttons to have a different theme like 'start of night', 'building', 'banging beats' etc to suit a different part of the night.

I understand what Kings is saying and I personally would use a feature like that often. I also use the Virtual DJ plugin and if it could have a option to stop when an external command to change to a specific cuelist would be great. It would also need to be able to use external commands to turn it off and on. So we would not have to swop between the 2 programmes the whole time.
Great idea.

It does sound like a good feature that a lot of people would benefit from, especially DJ's like you said.

I don't believe that's for everyone though, spirit. I don't have an iphone or android and personally wouldn't want to use them for live control anywhere if I did

I'm also thinking it would be good if you had to move away from the lighting desk for any period of time (i.e. toilet or meal break etc.).

lol, tablets are portable they have WIFI.
Kings scenario is quite different then the intended use of the remotes, as for not wanting to use them :\
Theres a whole host of advantages to them.
1. Most people have the hardware tablet or phone.
2. gives you a touch screen for your lights whilst your laptops running the music.
3. Control the lights from the bar, or on stage when setting up etc
i could go on lol.
Im not sure if something similar can already be achieved by using the sound to light and loop cuelist option? or GoMonkey or Band show, only limitation is making it change sequence every x beats, the sequence can step on each beat as per usual. and the sequences would advance onto the next one after a pre determined time.

OK...to be totally honest I want to use it when I line up at the bar to use my bar card. If its a good night (i.e. lots of punters) I have to line up for ages and I get a bit anxious about the lighting mood staying the same for any length of time. I can use my Iphone/Ipad to Touch OSC control the lights, but I think the bar staff avoid me as they think (quite correctly) that I'm some rude bastard playing with his phone when they are trying to take my order.
Oh the life of a superstar lighting dude!!!
