What am I missing here....?

Bear with me here as this is a lot of information, but I just want to be sure I'm not missing something here.
So my current setup with Freestyler is this...
2 Chauvet Intimidator Spot LED 250s
2 Chauvet Colorrail IRC
2 ADJ Quad Phase
1 Chauvet Scorpion GVC
All lights are controlled through Freestyler. All lights I have created custom fixture files for as well as custom fixtures in Scan Library
I control the lights via Submasters in the following banks
Bank 1 - Moving head - movement
Bank 2 - Moving head - color
Bank 3 - Moving head - gobo
Bank 4 - Colorrail Sequences
Bank 5 - Quad Phase Sequences
In banks 1, 2, 4, and 5, there are only usually 2 sequences, a general sequence for dance music, and a slow program for slow music. Sometimes I will put dinner or special sequences in if the event calls for it
The main problem I have is with the movement of the Intimidator Spots. I have tried various fade and speed adjustments to the sequence but the lights take too long to complete a step before the next step starts. For example. On one step the lights will be on the far side of the pan tilt window, and on the next step they will be mirrored on the opposite side of the window. Easy View shows this well, but the light itself takes longer to complete the step. In such a way that it doesn't complete it's full rotation before moving on to the next step. I have found that setting the fade to 500 or off and the speed to around 2000-2500 allows the light to complete the full rotation, though I use Sound2Light while DJing and even at dividing the beat by 4, the scenes progress much faster than the 2500 speed set. I never had this problem back when I had scanners so I'm just wondering if the problem is just the light moves too slowly to begin with or is there some setting in freestyler that I am missing. Is this a common issue with moving head fixtures? The fixture file does have a speed adjustment channel, and I've noticed that changing the slider will effect the speed the unit pans and tilts, but only as it pertains to slowing down the pan/tilt. Setting that channel to 0 or off, does not make it any faster.
So have I covered all my bases, or am I missing something here? Thanks
