Question about feature creator

Hi guy's,
So i figured out how the creator work's
Now i still have one question.
I see in the manual that for exemple a lazer has 4 channel's but in de manual they say :
channel 1 : 0-10: sound mode 10-100 dmx mode 100-255 automatic mode
channel2 : .......
and go on and on.
Do i create a channel as a channel or do i create a chanel for every thing like here de sound mode and the dmx mode?
