Hey,

I have some martin egos which I use for mainly disco use, but I was wondering if it is possible to use them via DMX. They don't have an DMX input or output on them, but from reading the manual and using them as soon as power is applied the lamp comes on. Is it then possible to put them on a dimmer pack? Would this be stressful for it as the bulb will be going off and on and not just constantly staying on like it normally does?

hi first of all i would recommend to use a Switch pach instead of a DImmer pack.

if the Fixture has electronic on the Fixture they dont like to be Dimmed...Power most go ON or OFF.

and all Lightbulbs that go On and OFF everytime dont like it..
thats why the more expansive/Inteligent Fixtures have a Shutter/dimmer.
this way the light stays on and a Machenical Shutter will Dimm the light..

Thanks for getting back to my question. Can I pick up switch packs fairly cheap on places like eBay? How many sort of fixtures can it do on one pack?

i have no idea..

i used the Showtec Lightbrick this dimmer pack can be set as a Switch pack.
and i made 2 Switch module from a Velleman DIY kit..
