Help with Keyboard shortcuts for Scenes & Speed

Post by neils »

I am playing around with keyboard shortcuts, to help me understand what I can control in FS. I was able to control Override buttons and the SubMaster function buttons (GO, RUN, etc). But that is not enough. What I really want to be able to do is control a specific Scene or Cue.

I used the programming logic to save colors, gobos, patterns, strobing, etc, to grouped scenes and cues. But it bugs me to have to move up and down a SubMaster list and hit RUN. Since I will have 80 buttons available on my external wing, I want to put the gobos, colors, patterns, chases on each button.

So question #1, how do I control a specific scene with the keyboard?? Do I have to "scroll" thru a cue to find the scene I want, or can I direct access a scene with a shortcut ??

Question #2, say I am able to fire off a scene with a keyboard shortcut, can I control the scene speed with 2 keyboard buttons ?? I believe I saw something to do with scene speed in the keyboard shortcuts, but I don't want to have to patch anything in the FS setup. I just want direct access to a given scene speed. So for example, if I have a chase of 4 fixtures within a scene, I would like to control the speed of that chase.

Thanks guys for your time !!
