VU Meter?

I think it would look pretty awesome if these could act as VU meters, I have no issues making the lights into DMX as the design on the website doesnt make them DMX but how would I get freestyler to work with it all? I might have 2 of them, one each side of the stage and maybe make them a bit taller.

I know i can do sound to light but that isnt going to work really since it only generates random values or runs a sequence which wouldnt work since I want it to give a live output.
