problems with novation impulse 49

Hi everybody been trying to map out a novation impulse 49 midi controller and all of the encoders sliders and pressure pads have mapped out fine and work great. my problem is coming when its the actual keys of the midi. they are sending a response through fs but when you go to use them in a show or even testing them out they are non responsive. anybody else out there try to map out a keyboard and have the same problem? ive been looking at different solutions and fixes and nothing seems to work. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks
