Freestyler DMX sound 2 light best practice?

Hi everybody,
I'm a new Freestyler DMX user and I've read a great part of the wiki, but I'm confused at this time...
Can you explain me how to do what I want?
My fixtures are 4 Showtec Indigo 150 v2 and 1 Geni FL1800D mk2 strobe.
My objective is to control my 4 indigo with the music, but I don't know how to make that!
I understood that first I must create my sequences, by type (color change, gobo change, etc). Then I must add the sequences of the same type in a cue, save the cue and after that open the cue in submaster.
But my problem is that sound 2 light works (only?) on the cue window...
Can you tell me if the right way is to select the cues in submaster and then in cue window, click on the speaker for the sequences?
Thanks a lot!
