Some Wacky Ideas from a New user.....

Hi Guys,

I'm completely new to dmx and freestyler but have some simple ideas that would be fairly easy to implement.....

Please feel free to kick me if I've missed something or this is already implemented......

Lets Start the ball rolling with some TABLES.....These could be CSV based...and edited in Notepad or in a spread sheet.....

You could have conversion tables for DMX Values......

Eg.... 256 entries.....

0,100
1,101
2,120
3,140

So... you feed it a value... and it spits out the 2nd value...... This is brute force approach, but might be handy for some things......

Also..... it could get more complex.... with channel conversion and value tables.... lets not go there yet, I need to think more !!! (would be something like..... input channel, value , new output channel, new value

................

We could also get funky with XY Tables for scanners.... instead of the standard paths / bezier curves.... Something I would really like to see !!!

Eg.... 256 entries (or you could possibly have a lot more with multiple patterns.....

0,100,200
1,101,199
etc etc.... Step , plus x and y ... Might require some kind of header on the first line eg..... NAME=FUNKYPATTERN,SIZE=256,INVAL,XOUT,YOUT

This could be used to define XY SCAN Paths for the heads......
Simple as that really.......

Also... Colour tables...... or Gobo Tables....... etc........
