Cheap-ass generic LED PAR can Fixture

Hi there....

First off.... I'm a total NOOB.

I have purchased a set of PAR64 & PAR56 LED cans that are generic Chinese manufacture.
They are 6 Channel digital addressing devices that came with an "Engrish" manual.

They have a table that sets out the channel functions and their respective 0-255 values.

1 - Master Fade
2 - Strobe
3 - Red
4 - Green
5 - Blue
6 - RGB ( with a big table showing the values for each combination)

What would be a typical Fixture configuration for the above?

I'm a little dazzed and confused over the config for Strobe and the RGB channels.

Thanks in advance

Tony

Hi, you should read the wiki tutorial on how to create a simple LED Par-Can: http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/f ... can:arc1_d

your configuration should look like this:

total channels: 6
enable CMY/RGB: checked, RGB values: checked
Red Ch.: 3
Green Ch.: 4
Blue Ch.: 5
Shutter Ch.: 1, open 255, closed 0
Strobe Ch.: 2, off 0, low 85, med 170, high 255
Intensity Ch.: 1, min 0, max 255

I think, you can safely leave Ch6 blank for now. If you like to use the preconfigured RGB values, then simply make entries under 1st colorch. (6) and n°colors (x). A new color-register will then become visible where you can enter the color values from your big table.

good luck,
Mario
