Strobe won't stop- Submasters

I am trying to run my fixtures (2 Martin SCX 500's 8 CH, 1 Revo-4, 1 ADJ Megapixel 28 CH,& 6 Blizzard Puck 3's 6 CH) with submasters.

The problem I am running into is that whenever I use the strobe function for my Revo, Megapixel, and Pucks it won't turn off. I select Stop
and run other things and it still keeps running even though there is no strobe cue function playing.

My Submaster categories for the Revo are Revo Function, RevoPatterns&Chase, RevoColorChaseSpeed, and Revo Strobe. Everything seems
to work besides getting stuck on Strobe. I have checked my scenes and I only have the sliders for strobe selected.

My Submaster categories for the Megapixel are Lamp, Color, Macros&Programs, Speed/Sound, and Strobe.

My categories for the Pucks are Lamp, Color, Programs, and Strobe.

What am I doing wrong?

Also, will all my fixtues work fine if I don't have them all hooked up? If I decide I don't want to use my Pucks or Megapixel
will I be able to use all of the scenes and submasters I have set up (besides the missing lights of course)?

hi,

yes if you stop a Submaster it stays on the Previous Value.
to solve this you can Enable "Restore value" on the Cue window.
or add a extra scene , Strobe stop.

and you can indeed just leave fixtures out of a Show.
DMX is realy stupid it does not see if a Fixture is connected.
but still FS will spit out Values to the Fixture that are not there.

Spirit,

I will add the Stop Strobe scene in and try it tonight.

One more question, if I change a fixture say from 28 Channel to 7 Channel and use it without redoing all my fixture addresses will that screw up other lights?

While programming my Megapixel I was getting frustrated and found it was much easier to run the Macros and Speed in 7 Channel; however, after I did this my Scanners were acting strange and would not change Gobos.

as i sad before DMX is a realy stupid Protocal.

so if you use a Scanner lets say Ch1=Pan ch2=tilt ch3=gobo ch4=color ch5= dimmer.
Now if i create a sequence with Channel5 it will change values on ch5(dimmer)
if i change the DMX to Ch2=Pan ch3=tilt ch4=gobo ch5=color ch6= dimmer.
now if i playback the same sequence it will change values on Channel 5(color)
Because color have changed to Ch5.

so if you re-patch a Fixture you also need to create new Sequences.
