I want to work with a big matrix of about 25 white cans mounted on a wall, I wanna be able to draw progressive growing / moving shapes on the grid by manipulating each light in the grid either live or using a saved sequence. Would freestyler let me do this? cheers!

Yes you can do this in Freestyler, but because Freestyler has no special matrix capability's it won't be easy to make growing shapes ea. Butt there is a way around this.

If the programming is no problem: You can make a new fixture (for a 5x5 matrix, make it 25 channels) or add 25 fixtures and go wild with the sequence programmer.
It won't even be that hard for the simpler program's like moving bars just real animated pictures are not directly possible.

a feature currently in development (or was) is an led matrix that would display from image files...
