DMX Decelerator...

In the past I've noticed that some 'cheaper' fixtures dont work well with more expensive lighting desks. It appears to be a problem to do with the DMX output rate. The Jands Vista that I use doersn't allow you to vary the rate so a friend sent me the following link:

"The DMX Decelerator is a DMX512 isolator and re-timing device. It can receive any signal within the DMX512 specification and it can accept some signals outside of the specification. It produces a DMX output signal with “relaxed” timing characteristics which are required by some DMX receiving devices. "
Might be worth thinking about if your having problems with your chinese fixtures?
