Pan/Tilt Arrows Barely working - Please Help!

I've been playing around quite a bit with the pan and tilt window in freestyler. It seems though that the clickable arrows that are supposed to change the pan/tilt values by one are not doing their desired functions. The center button works fine, but when I click any of the arrows the light will jump to a "seemingly" random spot on the grid, and then I'll only be able to adjust the value up or down by a maximum of 2.
For example...I center the light which sets both pan and tilt values to 127. I then hit the up arrow and tilt goes to 126. But no matter how many more times I hit the up arrow, it'll stay at 126. I then hit the down arrow onece and tilt goes to 128. Then no matter how many times I hit down it'll stay 128. The value simply jumps between 126 and 128 but never goes further!
Is there something I am doing wrong? Is this a bug in freestyler? Anybody else having this issue?
Thanks for any help you can offer!
P.S. I am running trackspots and I am using freestyler 3.4.4.

Cool, well I'm glad it wasn't just me then. I never even tried taking off the pan/tilt swap, so thanks for noticing when the bug happens. (Sadly I have to have the swap on for my setup...)
I take it I shouldn't submit a bug report now though? I'm assuming you've done it already?
Thanks so much!

Is it not possible for you to swap or invert pan and tilt on the fixture it's self rather than within FS ?

That's a great idea! It never even occurred to me that I could switch pan and tilt on the fixture itself. I'll go play with it ASAP!
However the trackspot has 8 dipswitches that control it's personality. I already have switches 3 and 5 on for "High resolution mode" I hope I can ALSO put on switch 6 for pan invert and switch 7 for tilt invert. I'll keep you informed on how it goes.
(If you care, here is a link to the user manual for the trackspot. The personality switch section is on page 2-4.)

Should be no reason why you can't do that! I did have a very quick look at the manual and it does not say there will be a problem so give it a go!

Well, I can put on both pan and tilt inverts, but it seems that I can't SWAP the pan and tilt functions on the trackspot itself. And sadly, with the orientation of the trackspots, I do need those swapped.
Do we know if the issue with pan/tilt swap, and the fine adjustment arrows is going to be addressed in the next version of freestyler?
Also, I have just noticed that the Absolute/Relative Movement arrows also seem to glitch when Swap Pan/Tilt is enabled.
Thanks again for all your help!

Hej i reported this Issue to the Developer and i Think he will solve this, But i'm not sure if he is Able to Fix this.
And dont expact to see a new Update next week.
the Holidays are coming so IF it will be Fixed there will come a Update next year.
But i have been look at the Swap pan/tilt.
But i think i Found a Fix for you.
Because the Only thing that Swap pan/tilt does it Changes Tilt to pan And pan to tilt.
So if you open Fixture creator you can change the Channel assingment.
So as example if Pan = Ch1 and tilt = ch2.
you just need to set Tilt to 1 and pan to 2, this way you have the same result as Swap pan/tilt

That is a great idea! I'll give it a go as soon as I can get some more time on the light board, and I'll be sure to update on how it goes! Thanks!

Well, this is weird. Maybe someone has thoughts on why Spirit's solution doesn't work.
It's the oddest thing. I go into fixture creator for the trackspot, and I simply change the channel for 8bit pan to "2" and the channel for 8bit Tilt to "1." I'm simply swapping the two channels.
Problem is, when I open the fixture in Freestyler, the fixture only pans. If I move the blue dot left and right, the light moves left and right. However nothing happens with the light when I move the blue dot up and down.
Any reason for this? Can anybody think of a solution, or something I may have done wrong?
Thanks!

Oke strange can you post the Fixture file or tell me which fixture you use so i can take a look at it.
Also the developer made a minor fix to see if it solves the problem, so next version you should try the Swap function again.

Well, I tried attaching the fixture file, but apparently the fxt file format isn't an acceptable format to attach a file. Is there a way I can attach that file that I don't know about?
The fixture I use is "trackspot" inside the "high end" folder. (NOT trackspot2) I have made a few modifications to my fixture file though, so I'd love to hear if it works on your system, which would imply that I somehow messed up my fixture file.
I've also already updated to the new freestyler 3.4.6 which seems to be the current version on the freestyler page, unless there is an even newer one somewhere else, or the developer hasn't posted the new version yet. Sadly, 3.4.6 didn't seem to fix the issue.

Yes indeed because if you look closer 3.4.6 is released on 17-11-2011.
and i posted my post on 18-12-2011
But you can not upload a FXT file, because if you open fixture creator and then press on FILE you will see EXPORT and then it will be saved as a .PFF file and thats somekind of .RAR/.Zip file so Everything need is in a .PFF file.
But your right about it my idea doesn't work..

realy strange.
Sorry but you have to wait for the Next realease

One thing I cant work out is why you need to swap pan and tilt ?
Cant you just write the sequence to corrispond to how you place the fixtures ?
Sorry if I have missed the point here

You're absolutely correct in the assumption that I could simply write the sequences with the fixtures in the correct positions. I just need to swap pan and tilt because it simply makes it easier to control the light to get it into the correct position. Also, there is always the chance that something goes wrong with the sequence, and you'd manually have to take control of the light and adjust it to the correct position. This is much easier to do if left doesn't correspond to upstage, and down corresponds to stage right.
I have now uploaded the pff of my trackspot file if anyone wants to play with it. I'd also love to upload my stage that I have created with the locations of the trackspots so that you can see what I am dealing with, however it seems I'm not allowed to upload an .evs file. Is there a way I can upload this stage so people can look?
Thanks again everyone for all the help. I know I'm pretty new to this, but I'm certainly getting better! Just did our first show successfully with freestyler! (The Nutcracker)
