Hey Gang...
Had problems with new version of freestyler hanging on boot up and my pro utility was hanging as well when I tried to "find pro and connect"

USB dongle was not coming on and Freestyler hanging on boot up... Really frustrating....

Here is how I solved it....

Went into Control Panel \ Device Manager \ Ports (com and lpt) \ usb serial port (com 4) \ right click \ update driver software

I was connected to the internet, I chose the "search automatically" option and it found the driver online and installed it.

That fixed it .. the little green light on the dmx pro is blinky blinky... and i have my chauvet colorstrips running as I post.

NOW... If I could only learn how to use fixture creator to so I can write a file for my generic chinese RGBW and RGBA pucks...

I had the same exact problem. I discovered the problem at a gig and had no internet to do any updates. I had to revert back to a backup copy I had of 3.27 for the gig. I haven't had a chance to go back and trouble shoot the issue with 3.4.6. Thanks for sharing.
