Touchscreen failed.

Hej Floks.

Have been out on a job and Touchscreen crashed.

At a time I lost connection from Touch to freestyler and fixture.

Trying to shutdown Freestyler, the busy circle just kept rotating forever.
I tried to kill the process but it also failed.
Ending up using hard way pressing the on/off button.
It happened more times and I disabled tabtip and wireless.

Disabling touch and FS worked perfect.

At home nothing wrong, everything worked perfect. FS had not saved the disabling of touch though I pressed save, so it started with touch.
I have only been using Touch 2 but when I disabled touch 2 today, touch 1 popped up.

This did not happened at the job only one touch was to be disabled.
Also I had a popup warning on taptip.exe on FS startup this don’t comes today.

Any idea what happened.

Windows 7 64bit, FS3.4.4. Eurolite - USB – DMX have been running perfect for then last year.

3.4.4 is just released a week a go..


but its realy strange i also have troubles with Taptip if i enable it before i start freestyler trange things are happening, but if i enable taptip after i start freestyler it works great.

but i never have any troubles it crashes and i cound not restart freestyler.

and allllll my other touchscreens i use doesn't have taptip so it work great.

Well if I am hunting you in bugtracker then I think I deserve this one.

It is of course the Eurolite that has been running perfect.

In the beginning I got a Taptip warning when I started, now I don’t so I have probably checked on a “Don’t show this messages again box.
But the funny thing is that it works now even though I don’t disable the Taptip.

I can stop FS without any problems. At the job I could even not kill the task and had to reboot the pc.

I also found a funny thing on the “open shutter” and “intensity fader” but that one I have placed in bugtracker.

Think I am gong to spend some time playing with touch.

No i don't mind just ask if i like to translate some Issue's, but some issue are realy hard to explane in eglish thats way i'm doing it in Dutch.

But don't begin in danish.., just ask for a translation.

Yes i'm also going to spent some time with the Touch, Your idea on the Bugtracker looks nice.
but which Screen resolution do you use..?

i also Finished the "Add your own buttons and backrounds" on the wiki.

i also tried the Midi functions, Midi note off - Note on and Convert flash to Toggle.

and realy i don't have a Clue what it does. i tried al kinds of things but it did not changed anything

Think there is only one way on the midi then.

And that is to ask the master.
If he don't remember then he can look in the code.

The Touch is defaul 1920 x 1080. It is a 23".
The funny thing is that I have been playing with it at home the last days and there are no problems.
I can shut it down and all that stuff.
But as I said above, I don't get the tabtip popup box more. So this part is still running and that one I killed last time when Touch failed.

ahh oke i also use the same resolution but it looks like you have alot more space on your screen.
(i used your Fixture controll lay-out )

but some one else also made a issue report in on Taptip.exe
but last weekend i also had some troubles i Used my Laptop with Touchscreen and i never use my laptop as lighting desk dut this time i did.
but i coneceted 1 Bcf and the Enttec pro i stared freestyler and everything works.
now i needed to Configure everything because i never use my Latop as lighting desk so i did the bcf, then the enttec pro and you need to select a Comport with this device so i seleceted the comport and freestyler crached.
i Ended the task en window ended it. i restart freestyler selected Comport again and it worked perfect.

i have the strange thing if i start freestyler on the laptop then the touchscreen is disabled so i need to start the Touchscreen software manualy, includes taptip.exe
