does anyone know of a sms to tv software?

what i am looking to do is to link a cell phone to my laptop, have people send sms to that cell number, and the pc will display the messages on the screen.

also known as a text 2 screen app

if your cell has free internet access on, link your laptop via bluetooth to the internet.
then there are many free sms software you can use.
If your any good at programing, i use this and made my own.

Without net access it can become very expensive.

well i have an AIR CARD and a Motorola Phone to use. They both can be used with the PAY programs. But they are 500+ Dollors.. wich i am not looking to spend. . . I found an app on SF.net calles SMSVIEWER. it seams to be what i want but i cant get it to work right.

i did get the SMSViewer App to work correctly with my Sony Air Card. However this app is very Lite, It will not show sender, or allow logging of numbers/messages.

I can probably write you one!!! I guess it would simply be a case of talking to the phone via Cable / Bluetooth / Infra-Red Serial Port and sucking the information about SMS's down.

I'll have a look when I get 5 mins and let you know!

This is not quite what i am looking for. I dont need a gateway, just the software. I want to use a Motorola Phone or a AIR card with a SIM card in it on the PC that will show the Screen. This way there is little cost and i have complete control. I like the way BlastText Outputs, but it will not suit my needs.

I see, have you looked at the StandAlone version? This comes with a USB GSM device that you put your SIM card in. User then send their SMS directly to the SIM card's phone number and the BlastText software interacts directly with the USB Device.

I already have a GSM USB Adapter. I would like to use that. I know this can be done.

That is what i want, but i need it to be more robust. I need it to LOG all info, Do mms's, and allow senders to change display name with a code like "/name "Matt"

Bringing this back to life as i have a need for it again. Anyone have any ideas?
