Dimmer not functioning properly on Red channel

I have a new LED wash bar similar to the American DJ Mega bAr but it has 4 rows of lights instead of 3 and it has 8 segments instead of three. I created a 4 channel fixture profile to test the light with Freestyler. The channelas are:
1 - Red
2 - Green
3 - Blue
4 - Dimmer

Pretty standard. But when I open the light and start to go through different colors, I noticed the red color was off. It only lights when I have the dimmer moved up to value 255. I didn't have to do this for the blue or green. They came on with the dimmer at value 0, when I clicked on them in the color palette.

If I have only the red color selected, all colors light up until I set the dimmer to 255. Under that value, all colors are lit and controlled by the dimmer. I'm not sure if this is a light issue or a freestyler issue

With the dimmer value set to 255, I can pick and mix any color and they work perfectly. It's just when I choose Red.
I'm using the Entec USB pro as my dongle box.

Are you sure that you have used the correct adresses for the fixture in FS? It kinda sounds like your "red" channel is more like a "special" function or something.

you may be right. I programmed a fixture profile for the lights in 7 channel mode which was imprinted on the housing, and everything worked fine. I will try the other modes to see if they function fine as well.

Did you find the problem last week?

Yes, it was a factory programming issue from the manufacturer. 4 channel mode was not programmed and documented correctly according to the manufacturer. All the other modes function correctly. They have made a sfotware revision to correct the problem. Now everything works fine. Thanks for the suggestion. It was an obvious thing to check for, but sometimes I get so focused on how things are supposed to work that I forget to question if it could be an actual problem with the lights themselves.
