I found that FS can recognize mixtrack pro as an external controller.

I want to use a fader or a knob to adjust a value of specific DMX channel in order to control strobo speed.
Is it possible in freestyler?

Re: strobo control by MIDI control
yes, Fs support the feature you ask for.. there is several ways to do it.
- you can assign "Shutter" to a fader/encoder and control the fixtures you have selected (highlighted) in FS main window.
- you can assign "MIDI to DMX" to a fader/encoder and choose which DMX channel has to be controlled (shutter channel) if you use this way you can only configure one DMX channel (one shutter channel = one fixture) but if you use the patch feature in options, you can control several.
- Another way is to add a PARcan fixture for each shutter shannel you want to control.. make a one step sequence where you set all the "shutter" PARcans to DMX 255. Add it to a submaster and assgin a fader to that submaster.

Re: strobo control by MIDI control
Thank you!
I succeeded in control the strobo using your 2nd suggestion(MIDI to DMX)!
But I'm using also numark cue (http://virtualdj.com) as DJ software with midi controller named numark mixtrack pro.
I want to use the midi controller to control both DJ software and DMX lighting at the same time with the config assigning several MIDI faders/knobs to DMX channels.
But only numark cue or only freestyler (launched on ahead) can recognize the midi signal.
Can't softwares more than one share midi signal?

Re: strobo control by MIDI control
midi is like a communication cable... you plug one end to a output from one program/MIDI device and the other end to a input in another program/MIDI device. you need programs like MIDI-OX and MIDI Yoke (both freeware) to split the MIDI Signal from your MIDI device to the two programs.
Midi Yoke makes virtual MIDI "Cables" on your PC.
Set numark cue to get MIDI input from Midi Yoke: 1 and freestyler from Midi Yoke:2.
> open MIDIOX
> open the midi device window
> select your MIDI controller as input
> select midi outputs for MidiYoke: 1 and MidiYoke:2
> now open the MIDI Port Routing below.
> make conncetions from your MIDI Controller to the two programs
now you shpud send MIDI signal to both programs from your controller

Re: strobo control by MIDI control
Numark cue can select midi controller which is designated for the software such as mixtrack pro.
So, MIDI Yoke:1 doesn't appear in the avilable choices of numark cue's midi controller.
FS can recognize MIDI Yoke.
I have no choice but to prepare two midi controllers, do I?.
I have both numark mixtrack pro and numark total control as the midi controller.
It seems to be the only way to controll both cue and lighting...
The probrem is that this way spend large space on DJ's booth...
