Can't get Venues to stop strobing. Please Help! :(

I'm not sure what model of Freestyler I'm using. But the lights are Venue LED Par 56 and I'm using Enttec Open USB. I can not get them to stop strobing. I can make them strobe fast, change colors, blackout, etc. but I just can't get them to stop strobing. It's really irritating.
Can anyone please help me?

I'm stumped.

Hej
I think there is an error in the fixture driver.
Have been reading the manual.
I think "Strobe ch", 5: "low" are to be 0.
Start "Fixture Creator" and open Venue LED PAR56.
Change low from 16 to 0.
You need to restart Freestyler after the modification.
Try this and see if it helps.

everything seems to be correct the Off value = 0, you can stop the strobe by pressing Closed or Open
You need to restart Freestyler after the modification.
you can also open the add/remove window right click with the mouse on the Fixture list and press "Refresh list"

Hej Spirit
I have had the same problem in an other fixture.
If you are using the shutter channel for switching strobe to "no ligth" or to "full light" then I can see that there is no channel defined.
Am I then to enter a channel no for the shutter cahnnel ("5") and an "open" and "closed" value.
I can see, on the image" that no value are entered.
On the other hand I can see that "high" is 255 which correspond to open
Think I am to find some HW. and try it out.

Hej again Spirit.
I have just been looking on it again.
Is this correct.
If I want to stop the strobe then I have to press "Close" for the shutter and then "Open" to get normal ligth on again.
The "Close" will set intensity and strobe to the off value.
And "Open" will set intesity only, to the on value.
This means that stoping the strobe is a two button sequence.
@ nooblightingguy.
The fader panel in the right side of the window if you open this then you can see what values the channels have after you have pressed the buttons and if one is wrong you can manualy change it here until you figure out how the fixture works.
It can be used as a fast / panik solution.

set shutter channel to 5 and open value to 0... now you should deactivate strobe with 1 click on "Open".
Thats how i use to set up my fixture files and deactivate strobe.
Remark: i have not used the newest FS and FC (Fixture Creator) so i'm not 100 % sure it will do the trick but it have worked for me before

Hej again.
I am making a short doc that describes the various configurations of this in Crerator and how the Lamp Panel are used.
I will probably send it to Spirit for review before placing it on wiki.

@ jan_k
yes i also notice if you open the shutter it also set the intensity full open, i think this isnt realy the idea.
But it doesn't happin with the Robe colorspot 575 at File i made.
but it looks like if the shutter isnt cofigered to a channel, Shutter open will also open the intensity.
but i'm not sure.
and i configere my fixture the same way as LJ_krede does

Hej Spirit and LJ_Krede.
Please review this draft before I place it on the Wiki.
It is made as a "Lamp panel" user description with 3 linked pages for the 3 Fixture Creator configuratons.
"///////////////////////" indicates a Linked page.
The linked pages contains a modified copy of user description.
Please look for technical errors and readability.
Check that it is possible to understand also for newbies.
Write in your comments in the doc with red text.
Tried to send it to you guys via PM but it is not possible to attach a doc.

i have lookt at it and it looks great only some little thing to correct.\
How_to_Shutter_Strobe 0.1.doc
also take a look at this fixture file, here the Shutter open and closed are on the Gobo channel...
Winner MK II 1.0.pff
Winner MK II 1.1.pff
i use version 1.1 because if you press closed or open it will a turn the gobo wheel closed and thats not always the idea.
Example with version 1.0, if you use gobo number6 and you like to strobe at the same time now if you press closed so the strobe will stop i will also close the gobo.(i allways program my sequences so there is no problem for me but for other people how doesn't know how to program everything the right way it can be a little bit triky)

Hej Spirit.
Thanks!
Just what I needed!
I will try describing the winner case and the problem. It's actually a funny one.
We have 12 Winner and 4 Rover and I realised that they have allways been running on the PC with "Martin LJ" or as stand alone.
Stand alone is the solution when we more setups and only 1 DJ at each setup.

That one, I had not figured out.
Wondered if this intended or just a side effect in the development.

i have take a closer look at the winner file but i see a nother fault i made.
and thats the Blackout feature, becuase the blackout value is Shuter closed. only i used the shutter to Stop the Strobe.
so if i like to have the blackout feature i need to fill in Channel2 (Gobo channel) Closed value 0.
(Winner II 1.0.Fxt) <--- this one is the correct fixture file only you need to know what you are doing.
the winner II ist's a realy hard fixture to configure.
So Shutter Closed is also Blackout value.

Hej Spirit
It's on the wiki now.
http://www.freestylersupport.com/wiki/p ... lamp_panel
I used the winner 1.1 as example and explained the problem with blackout.
Think it is a god idea to tell that sometime it is a trade off making fixtures.
Additional it also tell some of the tricky things.

hey, again
i have lookt a the home page of the freestyler wiki but you put the link/url between "FreeStyler Features", "Panel Description"
isn't it better to put it between "FreeStyler Addons", "Fixture Creator"
